Despite the fact that we both told ourselves after Christmas that we were going to save as much as we possibly could, we have still managed to accumulate a fair few new items over the past couple of months and thought that it was about time we shared some of them with you.
Rimmel Wonder'full Mascara - I have only used this a couple of times since I bought it as the weather has been too miserable and unpredictable to allow for anything other than waterproof formulas but I'm definitely liking it. I always find mascara the hardest things to choose when I'm buying a new one as there is always so much choice but this was a recommended one and I'm glad I picked it up.
Real Techniques Bold Metals Brush (201 Pointed Crease) - I am already in love with this brush after only using it once. When I was in Boots I had the dilemma of whether to get the 200 Oval Shadow Brush or the 201 Pointed Crease Brush. In the end I opted for 201 and I have no regrets as this brush can not only be used in the crease but also to distribute shadow all over the lid as the pointed shape means that it fits in the corner of your eye perfectly. For only £12 on top of the luxurious design with a cleverly shaped handle I couldn't really resist!
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail Paint in Lap Of Honour - I don't really have much to say about this polish as I am yet to try it out but I have read some great reviews so I am looking forward to taking off my chipped Essie polish and giving this one a whirl. I'm sure I'll update you with my opinion.
Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder - Yes, I am aware that I am extremely late to the party with this one - I have no excuse as to why it took me so long to buy - but isn't it just brilliant!? I mainly apply this to my t-zone, nose, chin and occasionally forehead to keep my base in place and stop the most oil-prone areas of my face from getting shiny during the day. It is just a wonderful powder and so far I don't know anybody who hasn't raved about it.
Collection Work the Colour Purple Eye Palette - again, I am yet to try this out but I do love the look of the colours inside. I doubt I will ever use the highlighter but I don't think that made any difference in the decision of purchasing it. For only £3.99 it was pretty hard to not put this in my basket, I'm just hoping it has a well-pigmented formula.
Maybelline Colour Elixir in 710 Rose Redefined - we both own a few of these and love them a lot. There will be a post next week with more about them.
Rimmel 9-in-1 BB Cream - I have only used this twice but already have mixed reactions about it. The first time I put it on I loved it - light coverage, quite a glowy finish and a good colour match. However, when I put it on this morning it seemed to just sit on my skin and give a bit of a cakey affect. I think most of this is because my skin is a bit all over the place at the moment and doesn't really know whether it's dry or oily or a combination of both. So for now, I'll carry on using this and let you know my final feelings for it.

Soap & Glory Solar Powder - This has been near, if not at, the top of my wishlist for a very long time! And finally I have it! And boy I'm glad I do. I've used this pretty much every day since I bought it and I'm obsessed. Already. Whether I've want a subtle contour or just that warm glow across my cheeks - as I sit looking out at the lashing rain, wishing for Spring - it's perfect. It's a cool-toned bronze shade on one side (no orange tones here) and a much lighter bronze on the other side. These can be used separately as a contour and highlight or swirled into one to give that wishful glow.
Tanya Burr lipgloss in First Date - I haven't had chance to try this out yet, but I'm super excited to. As I don't have a local Superdrug, I had to wait for this too, typically! I did go looking for the shade lunch date, but this seemed to have the closest name as the other wasn't available. I have heard so many good things about these and I have been watching Tanya's videos for years so this is a very exciting purchase for me. I'm sure you will hear an update soon!
Maybelline Eraser Eye Concealer in light - Yes, before you say anything, I know... I'm very late to the bandwagon with this one. Every beauty blogger out there has tried and reviewed this and if not, they're bound to have heard of it at least! I finally found one in the right shade which hadn't been opened and twisted. I was very excited. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to try this properly on my dark circles yet as I've had such dehydrated skin under my eyes but I have used this on some redness around my nose and on my chin and I must say it does live up to the hype. It covers amazingly without becoming cakey. Definitely worth the £7.99 (currently on 3 for 2)!
Barry M Speedy Quick Dry Nail paint in Pole Position - I am yet to try this nail polish but I am very excited too because the one thing which puts me off of painting my nails each weekend is having to wait for them to dry! So hopefully this will live up to it's name! All the shades in this range are beautiful and summery so if this one impresses me, I'm sure I will be back for more!
Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick COMIC RELIEF EDITION in 01 red nose red - So far what we have from the Rimmel Kate Moss rage is impressive, and for charity! Well... Wait another few weeks and they'll be a post all about this one!
Maybelline Colour Tattoo Cream-Gel Eyeshadow in Metallic Pomegranate - Now I can't put into words how much I adore these eyeshadows!!! Come back next week for a full review of these and alongside the Elixirs.

Urban Decay Naked 3 - This is one of the most exciting thing that I've bought in a while. It is truly beautiful - the packaging, the shades, the formula, the pigmentation... I could go on. It just has the perfect shades ready to transition into spring and summer and I was in need for some warmer-weather-appropriate eyeshadows and I think I can safely say I'm set! A couple of my favourites so far are nooner, buzz and factory. Now between us we have 2 of the 3 naked palettes so you may see a comparison-come-review at some point in the future. Which is your favourite?
I also got some free samples of all 4 of the UD Primer Potions. This is brilliant because I am going to need a new eyeshadow soon, so this may be an option.
Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge - This is a brilliant alternative to using a brush to apply your base. It gives such a natural finish and can be used after a brush to 'press' the base into your skin. The shape of this sponge makes it so versatile. The pointed end makes it so easy to blend in concealer under your eyes. Overall, a brilliant addition!
Yes To Grapefruit Dark Circles Correcting Eye Cream - As I mentioned earlier, I have had some very dehydrated skin under my eyes recently and my Simply Sensitive Eye Cream just wasn't cutting it. In fact, it actually started stinging. So I picked this one up as it claims to 'diminish the appearance of dark circles in 4 weeks' and to 'calm and sooth skin'. It doesn't smell too good but it is moisturising and I will wait a few more weeks to see if it diminishes my dark circles.
Eucerin Repleneshing Face Cream - This goes along the same lines as the previous purchase, but this is seriously good stuff! It looks a bit scary, like something like you might get prescribed by the doctor and the fact that it says 5% urea on the box isn't the most appealing but trust me, it works like a dream! It just absorbs into the skin and leaves you feeling soft and ready to go!
