A few months ago this set of U-Spicy make up brushes were on offer so naturally as the bargain-hunters we are we both purchased a set. (The brushes are on offer again so if you fancy buying the set this is the right time to do it.) We've both had some time to use them and find out which brush is best for certain products so we thought we'd share our opinions with you.
Round Brush - this brush is great for dusting powder onto your face either as a base or as a way of setting your make up in place. We use: Miss Sporty So Clear Pressed Powder or Bourjois Healthy Balance Powder
Angled Round Brush - this brush is shaped perfectly for adding blush or highlight onto your cheekbones and blends powders easily. We use: Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Blush or No7 Pop & Glow Cream Blush Stick
Flat Angled Brush - this brush is very versatile. You can use it to blend foundation or similar products onto your cheekbones and nose or, like me, you can use it for putting bronzer and blush on as you get a good, even coverage of product and the brush shape helps a lot with application. We use: Soap & Glory Solar Powder or MUA mosaic bronzer
Tapered Brush - probably the brush I use the least out of the bigger five but it should not be underestimated. This brush can be great for getting an even coverage of concealer underneath the eyes on days when your dark circles seem to be uncoverable. You can also use it to apply liquid products onto harder to reach contours of the face. We use: Seventeen Phwoarr Paint
Flat Brush - my favourite brush out of the set. It is great for applying liquid or cream products, like foundation, all over your face. It distributes the product evenly and blends it out very nicely. We use: Seventeen BB Balm or CC Cream

Precision Round Brush - this brush is handy for applying a base for your eyeshadow and blending it out. We use: Bourjois Smoky Stories Eyeshadow Quad or Collection Work the Colour Eye Palette
Precision Round Angled Brush - this brush is great for applying and blending liquid concealer, especially under the eyes and on the sides of the nose. We use: Rimmel Wake Me Up Anti-Fatigue Concealer or Seventeen Stay Time Concealer
Precision Flat Brush - this brush can be used for both powdering under the eyes to cover dark circles or concentrating concealer on blemishes. Either way it's great at covering up small imperfections. We use: Rimmel Match Perfection Illuminating Concealer or Seventeen Phwoarr Paint
Precision Tapered Brush - the shape of this brush is perfect for applying eyeshadow in the crease of your eye as it gets just the right amount of product onto the area. We use: Seventeen Eyes in Enraged or No7 Stay Perfect Single Eyeshadow
Precision Flat Angled Brush - this brush is great for packing on cream concealer under the eyes on days when you wish you'd got some more sleep. It can also be used for precise application of concealer around the nose. We use: Seventeen Phwoarr Paint

Overall, these brushes are so soft and also easy to clean (not that that makes me look forward to the task anymore than before).
