Red Nose Day is one of the biggest charity events in the UK and for us beauty loving lot, there's no better way to support it than buying a red lipstick! This year Rimmel have teamed up with Comic Relief to make a Red Nose Day Red lipstick with £1.67 of the £5.49 it costs going towards the charity.
As we've supported Comic Relief once a year for a while now - whether it be in school or with clubs outside - we thought we'd give you a little bit of background into the charity and it's history.
In 1988, Lenny Henry and a group of children celebrated the first Red Nose Day in Ethiopia. In 1991, they held an event giving disabled people a voice in the decisions concerning their own lives and 5 years later an Omnibus Special marked the 10 year anniversary of Comic Relief.
In 1999 Comic Relief teamed up with Sainsbury's. They sold 60 million red noses, raising an amazing £45 million and they set up a Fair Development Fund supporting small producers worldwide. Just the year after, J.K Rowling offered to write 2 Harry Potter books exclusively for the charity which in themselves made over £17 million.
Since 2000 a lot has happened: Sports Relief has come about, TK Maxx and British Airways have joined the troop, 9 celebrities (including Gary Barlow, Chris Moyles and Cheryl Cole) have hiked up Mount Kilimanjaro, David Walliams took the plunge and swam 140 miles up the Thames and comedian John Bishop cycled, swam and ran from Paris to London in 5 days.

So prepare yourself. Get your hands on one of these beautiful, special edition Rimmel Kate Moss lipsticks. Admire the spotty packaging. Pair it with some chic and simple black winged liner.
