So 2014 is over - I know, I can't believe it either - and its the start of a new year. For us that means a fresh start and (hopefully) building on our confidence. But before we look towards the new products and new discoveries of 2015 we decided to look back at a few favourite products of the last year.
Colab dry shampoo in New York - I think by now it's fairly obvious that I am completely in love with colab dry shampoo - I have already reviewed it here. This product just had to make it into my top 5 of the year and I really recommend this to anyone and everyone.
Rimmel Pro Nail Polish in 307 Grape Sorbet - I haven't mentioned this nail polish before but it really is a good 'un. The brush makes for easy application and it's also pretty quick at drying. I love the shade grape sorbet as it's a good colour for all year round and is also nice to use on your toes in the summer.
Rimmel Extra Super Lash Mascara - my all time favourite mascara. I have used this throughout the year and still love it. No clumps, no fallout, just great length and volume. I have reviewed it here already.
Bourjois Liner Feutre in 14 Noir Moka - a trustworthy liner that can be used to create a natural look or used with eyeshadow to give more of an edge to your look. It's easy to draw a steady line and it doesn't budge throughout the day.
Maybelline Color Sensational Shine Gloss in Coffee Kiss - I really love this gloss as it has easy application and stays on for quite a while for a lipgloss. I love this colour and use it when I need a lipgloss to quickly put on and then throw in my handbag so it's been used a lot this year. Glorious Grapefruit is also a lovely shade and is along the same lines of Coffee Kiss in the fact that it is not too out there but still adds something to your look.

Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum Foundation - it may be a bold statement seeing as I only actually own 2 foundations but I think this foundation is the one for me. I have shade 51 (light vanilla) and it just seems to match my skin tone perfectly. It has quite a sheer coverage so it's perfect for everyday wear, it's not cakey at all, has a lovely dewy but not shiny finish and lasts pretty well too. What more do you want?
MUA lipstick shade 11 - this is my most worn beauty product of 2014 - no question about it. It has a lovely creamy texture that glides seamlessly onto the lips. As for the shade, its a perfect nude that goes with any makeup look and just finishes it off. The only downfall with this product is the staying power is not very long at all, but I will forgive it as it's so quick and easy to apply and just feels like you're re-applying lip balm.
Rimmel Wonder'full mascara - firstly, the spoolie on this mascara is just perfect - it's plastic with lots and lots of small fibres which gives amazing length and volume. As for the mascara itself, it's quite a thick formula but not sticky at all, so this also adds volume. I find that doing a coat of this and leaving it to dry before adding another and then a layer of something waterproof to be on the safe side.
Rimmel Scandaleyes Precision Eyeliner - this has become my go to eyeliner. It's tiny fine nib is amazing for perfecting those catflicks or getting an almost invisible lash line filling-in. It's as black as you can get and is waterproof - just in case! A brilliant, quick and easy eyeliner for everyday wear.
Rimmel Exaggerate Undercover Shadow Primer - I suffered for months on end of that middle-of-the-day eyeshadow crease from oily eyelids. To the extent that I stopped wearing eyeshadow altogether. That was until I discovered this babe. One swipe of the doe-foot applicator across your lid, blend out with your finger, leave to set whilst you sort out those brows and you're off with your eyeshadow. And it'll look exactly the same as you put it on in the morning when you come home in the evening. Magic. No more crease lines and shiny eyelids around these parts.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - this is a brilliant all-rounder cleansing water. It removes makeup and cleanses your skin without the harsh use of chemicals. It is really cooling and is also un-perfumed. Although, by far the best thing about this product is how long it lasts. I've had mine for at least 2 months now and use it at least once a day and you can see from this photo how much I still have left. Amazing!
Barry M Genie Lip Paint - this was one of our first single lip product review so it should come as no surprise that this has made into our favourites of the year. (You can read our previous review here.) This lipstick changes shade colour on different people's lips and we have noticed that over time it has also changed shade. It's not a bad thing for us (which is why we still love it). Whenever I put it on I'm intrigued to find out what shade it will be which in my opinion makes this product even more exciting.
Maybelline Color Tattoo 24hr gel-cream eyeshadow in 35 on and on bronze - this eyeshadow is probably one of my favourite discoveries of the year. Its formula makes for easy, smooth application, whether it be with a brush or your finger, and I think this shade is absolutely perfect for either going out to a party or toned down a bit with a darker colour in the crease of your eyelid for more everyday wear.
Collection Does-It-All Waterproof mascara - I love this mascara. It certainly lives up to the waterproof statement! I find also that this is a great mascara just to layer over another non-waterproof formula, because, living in Britain, we're never sure what to expect. It's also great for the lower lashes because the plastic spoolie is quite precise.
Rimmel Wake Me Up concealer - one of the best discoveries of 2014. This concealer is perfect with just the right amount of coverage and light reflecting particles to brighten tired eyes. Although it also works brilliantly at covering blemishes but doesn't become cakey. Patted down with a little powder, this will last you the day no trouble.
