As winter draws to a close and the beginning of spring brings the sunshine with it (or at least we hope so) it's time to round up our favourite products from the past few chilly months. We have chosen one item from each category that we've both been enjoying and feel deserves a mention.
Base: Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation
I love this foundation. It hasn't got too much coverage so is perfect for everyday wear, but it's yellow-y tone evens out my complexion and just helps correct any redness. I use shade 51 light vanilla and this is a perfect match for my skin throughout the colder months. I have definitely been reaching for this a lot over the past few months and would certainly recommend it!
Blush: Sleek Blush in Sahara
Again, another perfect everyday product. This blush looks very orange in the pan but on the cheeks it just look very natural, giving you that 'wind-swept' glow. It isn't the most pigmented blush I've come across, but with the colour I'd see this as a positive making fool-proof to apply and it can also be built up easily for a stronger colour. This shade, Sahara (934), is a beautiful shade for winter as you can wear it with any lip colour so if you like to rock a bold lip from time to time this is your guy for your natural flushed look.
Bronzer: Soap & Glory Solar Powder
This product is just brilliant and definitely deserves its title as a cult product in the beauty world. We've mentioned it a couple of times before (in our festive gift exchange and haul posts) but, in my opinion, haven't raved about it enough yet. Whether you're a fan of contouring or just like to add a warm glow to your complexion this is what you need. I love the way you can opt to just use either the lighter shade or swirl brush in both depending on what you fancy. This is especially great for me because I have very pale skin and sometimes darker bronzer can look a bit unnatural on my skin. Overall, a trustworthy bronzer that I'm sure suits everybody.

Eyeshadow: Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Creamy Beige
These eyeshadows got a post dedicated to them a couple of weeks ago (along with the Elixir's). We love them all but we had to choose this one because it's just so everyday-appropriate and it just... works! It's matte and, as we said in the post, like a 'your lids but better' shade.
Eyeliner: Studio London Eyeliner Pencils
This may be a surprising pick seeing as we haven't mentioned them since our haul post in November last year but as far as pencil eyeliners go these really are great! The sponge tip on the end of each pencil is a great addition and is certainly well used to create a subtle smoke.
Mascara: Maxfactor False Lash Effect Clump Defy (waterproof)
This has become my go-to mascara after one of those annoyingly clever Boots 3 for 2 offers. I had a primer and a foundation so couldn't resist another practically free product! The moment I applied it I was in love. Firstly, the spoolie is amazing - it's plastic-y and curved with quite small bristles which means it coats all of your lashes to perfection. It also gives a beautiful curl. As for the formula, well what can I say. The waterproof quality gets a tick straight away but it holds a curl so well and just manages to hold up all day long with no fall out! The most amazing mascara ever I think!

Lips: Rimmel Provocalips in 730 Make Your Move
We've talked about this amazing lip product before so it was obvious that we had to choose it as our winter favourite. The way it works is explained in this post but it really is very easy. Whatever shade you choose you get long lasting colour all day. We both especially like 'Make Your Move' as it is an almost red colour that isn't too bold that you can't wear it to school but still makes a statement when it's worn and goes perfectly with a smokey eye.
Nails: Essie Sole Mate
Described as being a rich, deep plum colour this polish was the perfect shade for winter. Although spring tends to mean that pastel shades get their turn in the limelight I can still see myself wearing this throughout the warmer months. It goes with pretty much everything and Essie is such a trustworthy nail polish brand you can't really go wrong with this!
Skincare: Garnier Moisture Matte Oil-Free Daily Moisturiser
We've already reviewed this here and we still love it. I've almost finished my first tube an have a second one waiting to step up when I need it - that's how much use it gets.
